Rear mounted land-clearing hedge cutter with advanced arm with simultaneous arms open/close compass system
KATIA is a forward reach professional hedge cutter with compass arm for grass, shrubs and bushes for road maintenance. It can be coupled with tractors with a power between 80 and 100 HP with minimum wheel track of 2,2 m and a weight of at least 3.500 kg, allowing an extension of up to 6,5 m.
The peculiarity of the model KATIA lies in the compass arm system which, allowing the hydraulic forward movement of the head, ensures the operator with greater control, as required for road maintenance. The safety systems include OVER CENTER on the first arm which prevents it from suddenly lowering to the hydraulic safety system with adjustable hydropneumatic shock-absorber, up to the mechanical shockproof safety system which discharges the hydraulic pressure of the rotor in case it blocks.
The CFS (Contour Following System) is available on request, which allows the floating of the arm by means of a potentiometer that makes it possible to follow the profile of the ground without having to intervene on the controls, protecting the arm and the hydraulic motor from damage.
KATIA can be coupled with different types of 125 cm wide heads with belt or direct drive. KATIA offers different combinations for the cutting parts, blades and hammers. The spiral type rotor allows the double rotation direction and the floating function up to 246° of rotation, ensuring maximum performance.
In addition to the classic heads for twigs, hedge bars for cutting shrubs up to 1.5 cm and the attachment for cutting branches up to 10 cm are also available. MARGHERITA also allows cleaning road side ditches and channels thanks to the ditch cutter. The high efficiency of this equipment comes from the use of a hydraulic motor, an ideal solution for the drive of particular accessories that work with high extensions.
