Trailed disc harrow - folding frame
Designed for large farms, ADMIRAL is the disc harrow conceived by MASCHIO GASPARDO to power through even the most extreme working conditions. The need to accommodate ever-narrower working windows makes ADMIRAL the perfect choice.
Its "extreme" disc harrow features make it versatile enough to handle any condition: from cold and heavy ground to damp, peaty soil, with a lot of residue, even including debris such as rocks and stones.
ADMIRAL comes in a single 8.5m version designed to work with tractors up to 450 hp.
4 gangs of 610mm discs are mounted along the frame, divided into two front and rear pairs with a mutual gap of one metre between them that, together with the 500mm spacing between the individual discs, results in an optimal flow of soil and residue. The centrally positioned tyres ensure accurate depth control. Behind them, the harrow with 70cm spring tines arranged in three gangs redistributes the soil with the residue incorporated. The rear roller evens out and consolidates the surface, leaving the soil perfectly levelled and ready for seeding.
ADMIRAL's construction and tools are designed to offer unbeatable strength and lasting reliability. The large-diameter discs with a slightly concave profile deliver an effective cut every time thanks to their special toothed design, even when dealing with copious amounts of residue.
Disc rotation comes courtesy of special «CULTIHUB» units, which are oversized to ensure greater reliability. The 2 tapered bearings are submerged in oil and protected by a special series of seals, to protect against the ingress of dust, water and mud.
Lastly, the "C-shaped spring" element connecting the disc to the frame - made of high-strength steel specifically intended for sprung elements - allows for an impressive vertical travel of 200 mm to clear any obstacle and handle even sudden shocks.
The sixty-eight 610mm discs arranged symmetrically in two pairs of gangs provide top-quality cutting, mixing and burial, as well as an excellent working position and reduction in side drift during work in the field.
