Trailed pneumatic precision planter with 2-sections foldind and floating frame
CHRONO 800 is the latest development from MASCHIO GASPARDO in the high-speed precision seed drill segment, designed to offer innovation and maximum daily productivity. Thanks to its unique adjustable pneumatic transport system, it ensures uniform seed deposition at over 15 km/h and adapts to all working conditions. The new centralised hopper increases operating autonomy, while ISOBUS connectivity allows advanced seeding control for Precision Farming. With a trailed frame with folding and floating wings, CHRONO 800 is available in 12 or 16 units with 70 and 75 cm inter-row spacing, ideal for large areas.
CHRONO planting unit features the most advanced solutions available on new-generation precision planters. The innovative independent pneumatic system uses a lobe compressor and varies the air flow according to the characteristics of the seed. Whether small seeds (rape) or larger seeds (maize, hemispherical seeds such as soya beans or seeds with a more irregular shape such as sunflowers), pneumatic transport minimises seed bounce inside the seed tube by maximising the regularity with which it is positioned in the seeding furrow, even at high speeds.
The CHRONO 800's pressurised hopper ensures highly efficient transport and even distribution of the crop over a working width of up to 12 metres. The pressurised system reduces the load on the hydraulic blower, decreasing power absorption from the tractor and optimising fuel consumption. With a capacity of 3,000 litres for fertiliser, it can be equipped with a second 950-litre hopper for central seed delivery. The large hatch facilitates filling, even with BIG BAGS, guaranteeing maximum autonomy and rapid operations.
The new folding and floating wing frame is designed to ensure high productivity and reduced space requirements during transport. This type of frame ensures maximum stability and freedom of movement of the individual seeding units thanks to the floating system with up to 10° tilt, allowing the individual units to faithfully follow the contours of the soil for consistently accurate seeding.
This seed drill integrates the most advanced Precision Farming technologies, optimising the management of production inputs (seed, fertiliser and micro-granulated product) thanks to variable application rate and independent control of seeding units based on prescription maps. The ISOTRONIC electric drive with ISOBUS protocol guarantees full control of the seed drill, adjustment and monitoring of seeding parameters, and analysis of equipment performance. The export of work data allows detailed analysis remotely, even after seeding, supporting future agronomic strategies.
