1. The folding wing frame with vertical closure accommodates 8 or 12 planting units with a transport width of only 3 m.

2. The system automatically raises the side wings relative to the central frame during manoeuvring, improving manoeuvrability in difficult conditions or around obstacles.

3. The electro-hydraulic chassis movement system keeps the distance of the side wings from the ground constant, thus ensuring uniform pressure on the planting units, even in the case of steep slopes..   

The mechanism for attaching and moving elements on the frame allows two operators to complete the conversion in less than 2 hours without any auxiliary lifting equipment.

When converting the frame, elements #3 #5 #8 #10 can be easily removed/installed using the practical handling trolleys (available as accessories).

Example of frame conversion from 12 to 8 rows with tractor-mounted seed drill.

1. Attach the handling trolleys to elements #3 #5 #8 #10.
2. Quick disconnection of the control connections of elements #3 #5 #8 #10
3. Removing the 2 fastening screws of elements #3 #5 #8 #10
4. Store elements #3 #5 #8 #10 and rearrange the rest of the elements according to the frame spacing. 

CHRONO distributor has an inclination of 15° to optimise the fall of the seed into the tube. By eliminating any contact between seed and tube, maximum precision is guaranteed. The aluminium body combines high strength and lightness.

The photocells at the exit of the distributor body verify that the seed has actually passed through the drop tube by turning on an LED located on the side of the seeding unit. Data are instantly collected on the investment of seeds per hectare, the distance and precision of planting. The acoustic planting control alarm promptly warns the operator in case of failures or empty hopper.

The ISOTRONIC transmission, standard on all CHRONO seeding units, uses the ISOBUS communication protocol and the GENIUS MASTER interface; it allows you to take advantage of all Precision Farming functions for planting, fertilising and distributing microgranular products.

The innovative pneumatic seed transport system works with a lobe compressor and varies the air flow according to the characteristics of the seed to guide its movement along the drop tube.  Whether the seed is small, such as rape, or large, such as maize, hemispherical, such as soya, or more irregularly shaped, such as sunflower, pneumatic transport minimises seed bounce inside the drop tube, maximising the regularity with which it is placed in the seed furrow, even at high speeds.

1. AIRSPRING

CHRONO planting unit uses a robust double parallelogram connection system with AIR SPRING. The pressure of the element on the ground can be adjusted directly from the tractor cab up to a maximum of 300 kg, allowing direct seeding even on heavy soils.

2. FRONT DISC COULTER

Chrono planting unit is equipped with a large-diameter (355 mm) disc coulter which generates an effective soil cutting action for correct seed deposition. 
The star-shaped disc coulters (available as an accessory) free the planting row from any bulky residues that could compromise germination.

3. FURROW CLOSING UNIT

The system is made of cast steel and uses 1x "14" V-shaped rubber wheels that guarantee closure even on unworked soil.

Fertiliser distribution can be carried out by coupling the PA1 front hopper with electric distributor with ISOBUS communication protocol and pneumatic transport system.

Connected to the planting unit but independent in movement, each coulter has a single disc with adjustable depth wheel. The AIR SPRING system, which is also present on the fertiliser coulters, completes the technical equipment, maximising the ability to maintain a constant working depth even when more difficult ground is encountered within the same field.
