CHRONO
CHRONO is the new high speed planting unit of MASCHIO GASPARDO that enriches the wide range of solutions offered by the Group for precision sowing. Thanks to its exclusive pneumatic seed delivery system, the planting unit equipped with electrical transmission, can operate up to 15 km/h reaching the maximum accuracy standards.
Whether it is about conventional tillage, minimum tillage or even direct seeding, CHRONO guarantees best accuracy in seed placement regardless of seed size, planting depth and speed rate.
At the forefront of planting, high speed and first-class precision
CHRONO is fully electric and is based on a vacuum seed selection system that has always been the signature of GASPARDO precision planters. CHRONO has perfected seed singulation thanks to an advanced micrometric seed selector..
After exiting the distributor, the seed enters the new pneumatic system and it is led at high speed to the ground avoiding the negative bouncing effect. The photocell integrated on the seed tube controls the fall frequency, while the soft rubber and self-cleaning press wheel holds the seed in the furrow, guaranteeing the best planting accuracy and a controlled depth.
It is possible to plant any type of seed without foregoing precision. According to the seed calibre, weight and shape, the seed selection vacuum and the seed transport airflow can be set independently. Also small seeds such as rape and beet are placed perfectly, as well as those particularly shaped, like sunflower.
Every single seed counts
The vacuum applied to the distributor runs through the holes in the seeding plate and captures the seeds which are then selected by the selector, eliminating possible duplicates. The micrometric adjustment of the selector allows it to adapt to all shapes and sizes of seeds, always offering maximum precision.
The distributor has been designed to reduce to the minimum components wear and ensure maximum reliability in every working condition. A single electric motor drives the transmission and controls the rotation of the seeding disc, proven to be reliable and maintenance free.
The seeds are released from the distributor into the drop tube with zero friction thanks to the 15° angle of the distributor.
A sensor instantly collects data on seed investment per hectare, spacing, and selection accuracy.
The operator can easily adjust the seeding parameters directly from the tractor’s ISOBUS monitor or by using an additional monitor.
The design of CHRONOr.
The CHRONO unit was created through a valuable collaboration between the MASCHIO GASPARDO Research and Development department and the Italian School of Design (SID), with the goal of developing a fast unit with a functional design that makes precision seeding even quicker, easier to use, and more effective.
CHRONO features design elements inspired by dynamism, speed, and precision—qualities that also inspired its name. Its lines are easily recognizable, making it a truly unique and innovative unit.
