Side mulcher
GIRAFFA S is at the entry level of MASCHIO GASPARDO's side-mounted mulcher range. The option of moving the implement horizontally and vertically means it can be used for numerous operations, such as shredding woody material on very steep surfaces, such as along ditches or hedgerows. Using it in conjunction with the front-mounted mulcher increases the cutting surface area. Available in working widths ranging from 3.8 to 5 ft, it can be paired with tractors with horsepower in the 15 to 35 range.
The parallelogram frame arm allows GIRAFFA S to be moved hydraulically both horizontally and vertically with inclines ranging from -65° to +90°, enabling shredding to be done even in challenging conditions, such as along ditches, hedgerows and headlands. The rear roller, which can be set to two positions, is self-cleaning and ensures consistently excellent levelling and a high level of stability.
The gearbox shaft features a freewheel, while the PTO, which comes as standard, is direct drive.
The head's floating system allows it to follow the contours of the surfaces being worked on, preventing any damage to the structure.
The gearbox is mounted internally to protect it when working vertically and improve internal reach.
The tools consist in 21" hammer flails for unbeatable mulching capacity. With the electronically balanced rotor and mechanical drive using 2 toothed belts, a high level of reliability is assured.
