Side mulcher for tractors with wheels-track narrower than 4.9 ft
GIRAFFA M is a side-mounted mulcher that stands out for its ease and versatility of use in dealing with grass or brush, either behind or to the side of the tractor. Suitable for any use, equally happy working in olive groves, hazel groves and orchards as it is mowing along headlands, ditches or hedgerows, GIRAFFA M is available in working widths ranging from 3.9 to 5.7 ft, paired with tractors with horsepower in the 35 to 60 range and with a maximum tread width of 4.9 f.
GIRAFFA M's parallelogram frame arm gives it a wide range of movement, both horizontally - even in conjunction with front-mounted equipment - and vertically thanks to inclines ranging from -65° e +90°. The version with the externally mounted gearbox gives it greater offset.
The gearbox shaft features a freewheel, while the PTO, which comes as standard, is direct drive.
The head's floating system allows it to follow the contours of the surfaces being worked on, preventing any damage to the structure. The connecting rod on one of the lower hitch points is an additional safety measure in the event of collision with obstacles.
GIRAFFA M comes in two versions: with the gearbox mounted internally or externally. The internal version is recommended if the unit is going to be used mainly on the flat or for vertical work (hedgerows, banks). The external version gives greater reach for ditch work.
Hammer flails are tasked with shredding, effortlessly handling even woody brush. The electronically balanced rotor ensures consistently high speeds with very little vibration.
GIRAFFA M can be fitted with a double skin protection, which is recommended when dealing with hard debris or stones.
The rear roller, whose purpose is to compact the resulting shredded residue, is a self-cleaning model thanks to its location near the rotor, and can be set to two different positions. This adjustment ensures unbeatable stability in any conditions.
