Mounted subsoiler with folding frame
To provide the same performance as the ARTIGLIO model while making the implement easier to carry on the road, we have come up with the FOLDING ARTIGLIO with a working width range from 13.5 ft with 9 tines to 16.4 feet with 11 tines for a transport width of just 8.4 ft. The FOLDING ARTIGLIO is ideal for medium-large farms and contractors who have tractors in the 250 to 500 hp range.
The frame features all the distinctive solidity and ruggedness of the ARTIGLIO range. The central mounting has been modified to allow the two wings to be folded quickly and simply by means of two large hydraulic cylinders. Two additional mechanical arms provide a mechanical stop for the wings. The new frame with welded tines mounts (CSS system) and the 1.4 inches-thick winged tines with tungsten carbide coated tips allow for a working depth of 19.7 inches, even when dealing with crop residue. Each tine features a shear bolt.
The side panels, with the innovative "wave" design, and generous under-frame clearance ensure an optimal flow of soil and residue, avoiding blockages even at high working speeds and when dealing with a large amount of crop residue.
The working depth is hydraulically controlled by means of a cross circuit, which adjusts the height of the rear twin roller. Said roller is connected to the frame by means of a sophisticated parallelogram system, allowing it to stay in constant contact with the ground where there are dips or surface obstacles.
The mechanical version has a shear bolt safety feature. On the HYDRO version - which comes in up to 13.1 inches with 9 tines - the safety feature is twofold with the combination of a shear bolt and hydropneumatic system. If pressure on the tip exceeds the equivalent of 1984 lbs in weight, the hydropneumatic safety system trips, progressively raising the tine. If the obstacle is not cleared and the pressure on the tip increases, the shear bolt snaps to stop the frame being damaged, allowing the tine to lift completely. The generous oversizing of the implement means you can work with complete peace of mind on even the toughest soils.
The FOLDING ARTIGLIO is the ideal subsoiler for medium-large farms and contractors involved in deep subsoiling. The transport size makes it the ideal solution for road travel.
