With a working width ranging from 4.5 to 6.6 metres for the LEVANTE LT and from 6.9 to 8.8 metres for the LEVANTE, MASCHIO GASPARDO is able to meet the needs of a wide range of farms, from smaller operations to more professional enterprises. All models, except the 880 version, are equipped with a rotor gearbox featuring bevel gears and oil-immersed universal joints, as well as a welded frame. These are simple and lightweight solutions that ensure reduced weight and reliable performance.
For models with a working width greater than 6.9 metres, an innovative locking system is included as standard (optional for the others). This ensures that the tines remain securely in place, preventing forage loss and providing essential protection for following harvesting machines. It also prevents metal fragments from entering the feed, helping to safeguard livestock health.
For a clean turning at the field edges, a system is available that distributes the forage towards the inside of the field, preventing the formation of swaths at the boundaries. It can be activated manually via a control knob or through a hydraulic switch (standard respectively on 690/760 and 880/880T models). This keeps the borders untouched and ensures the forage remains uncontaminated.
It is essential to accurately read every change in the terrain in order to work as efficiently as possible. All rotors are suspended with a pivoting system, allowing them to quickly and effectively adapt to changing ground conditions.
Rotors with a reduced diameter, starting from 1.48 metres, offer several advantages. Their smaller size allows for better ground adaptation, resulting in cleaner forage with lower ash content.
